We are recruiting a Software Developer within our Specialist Finance Professional Services Team. The purpose of the Software Developer is to oversee the design and build of the localisation of our specialist finance product within the UK. The Software Developer will be responsible for building the asset finance and leasing platform to our industry standard and fixing for individual customer needs, where required. The role may also require some software consultancy to our clients including some customer site visits located UK wide; this will be dependent on a number of factors, including the candidate’s appetite to perform this element.

This role requires an individual with initiative, commitment to hard work, the ability to work individually and as part of a team with the willingness at times to work under pressure in a challenging environment.

The role of Software Developer will have following responsibilities:

  • Perform technical analysis to gather client’s requirements
  • Define solutions to meet client’s requirements leveraging product knowledge
  • Remote technical assistance during implementation/upgrade projects
  • Define & execute Test Plans and ensure solution is delivered to the required quality standard
  • Provide continual feedback to the project manager promptly highlighting any potential issues to allow a pro-active solution to be offered


Technical Skills:

  • 4-5 years’ experience in Core Java 6 as a software language
  • Experience with Spring Framework 3
  • Working knowledge of PL/SQL
  • Excellent knowledge of software design and development methodologies including Agile.
  • Experience within Consulting and/or working on software application implementations preferably in Financial Services industry with sound understanding of a typical project lifecycle
  • Experience of C++ would be beneficial but not essential
  • Good understanding of Financial Services (middle and back office operations) would also be beneficial

Salary circa £55,000 p/a plus benefits
