Sopra Banking Software is currently seeking a Technical Consultant to join our expanding Managed Services department to provide key services within live production environments.

The role requires an individual to:

• Provide systems administration on a day-to-day basis, alongside project activities to support our customers.
• Utilise strong technical skills and utilise a variety of architectures and software solutions.
• Demonstrate dynamic problem solving ability, enthusiasm and a desire to constantly improve the customer experience.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, quality and getting things right first time are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for meeting and exceeding Managed Service SLAs as part of a wider team
• Support of multiple customer environments, both on premise and cloud hosted
• Responsible for reactive tasks such as troubleshooting, system performance monitoring, optimisation, automation activities/tasks, troubleshooting incidents, database refreshes to software and hardware upgrades.
• Work as part of a team to deliver complex projects
• Work with the wider team to recommend, create and implement automation and optimisations as part of continual improvement activities
• Work as part of an out of hours rota to support production environments as part of a wider team – additional compensation would be provided for this.
• Ensure Sopra Banking and Managed Services security requirements are met at all times
• Interact with both internal and external customers in a professional manner
• Possess the drive to keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends


Candidate Requirements:

• 3 years' or more experience in a similar technical role
• Strong knowledge and skills in Cloud related technologies
• The ability to troubleshoot complex problems
• Experience of Citrix Xenapp/VirtualApp
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows technologies; All Windows versions (7, 8, 10 2008, R2, 2012 and 2012 R2, 2016 and 2019; IIS, Active Directory, DNS)
• Experience with Windows Support Tools (WSUS, MOM, PowerShell, etc.)
• Experience with VMware's products (VMware ESX, vCentre, vCloud, vSphere)
• Experience of Windows Terminal Services
• Experience of networks and Firewalls
• Experience of troubleshooting, implementation and deployments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and comfortable to communicate at both a technical and a non-technical level
• A willingness to travel between offices and data centres when required

Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 p/a
