Sopra Banking Software is recruiting Business Consultants to work within our Professional Services Consultancy team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in financial services, particularly Mortgages or Savings. The successful candidate will display a willingness to gain a functional understanding of Sopra Banking Software’s products and solutions.

The role of a Business Consultant is to support clients in their implementation of our solutions, from the initial process through to the go live of the system. Business Consultants will work within the Professional Services team on the implementation and support of financial software systems deployed in many blue chip and household name clients, with time split between our offices and the customer sites, based throughout the UK.

You will get involved in requirements gathering and understanding the client's business processes, and help to define their requirements and the solution proposition. The main areas you'll then work with are:

• Understanding customer needs and offer assistance proactively
• Recommending solutions within own discipline
• Defining business requirements and associated technical solutions
• Working with the development teams to design software solutions and workarounds according to business requirements
• Preparing elements of business case definition
• Supporting the sales team with demonstrations, presentations and pre-sales activities
• Working with the team on the product configuration
• Specifying requirements for data migration
• Working with customers and colleagues to transfer knowledge


Candidates will have:

• Experience working within the Mortgages or Savings market, either with a Financial Services Provider, or associated industry at a managerial level.
• Detailed working knowledge of the relevant regulation related to Mortgages or Savings
• Confidence in a customer facing role including presentations, running workshop and client meetings.
• Experience in working in a change environment
• Proven track record of successful senior stakeholder management
• A willingness to learn the technical aspects of our different products

Salary range of £40,000 - £54,000 p/a depending on experience
