What will the role involve?

  • Provide consultancy, build and operation [run] of IT infrastructure that supports Sopra Banking Software’s Asset and Consumer Finance products that are hosted as a service to our global customer base. The infrastructure is hosted both within our global data centres, where a private cloud has been built, and within Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Play a collaborative role in the transformation of on-premises [data centre] infrastructure to the cloud
  • Developing in key technologies such as Infrastructure as Code
  • Implementing across key DevSecOps domains such as: deployment; security; monitoring; resilience; and automation
  • Working with different products and functions to deliver on their cloud journey and our cloud first strategy
  • Continuous improvement of capability - infrastructure, processes, products


What are we looking for?

  • Quick learner with the ability to understand and switch between new domains as required
  • Able to implement simpler, script-based solutions in appropriate languages (e.g. Python)
  • Can work in a cross-functional manner and engage with key stakeholders/teams as required
  • Able to critically analyse processes
  • Capable of implementing solutions in line with long-term strategies/goals
  • Has a strong desire to improve the organisation and advocates for solutions to advance that goal
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically a working knowledge of AWS, will be essential
  • Knowledge of VMware, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems and preferably networking, anti-malware, tools and products
  • Basic understanding of DevSecOps design and tooling
